GAUDAEN Gerard : Temse Watersport, 1947-1972

A 1972 medal for the 25th anniversary of the Royal Association for Water sports in the small Belgian town of Temse
This is the only medal designed by the Belgian engraver Gerard Gaudaen (1927-2004), especially known for his wood engravings including hundreds of bookplates (exlibris).
He was a Professor at the Higher Art Institute in Antwerp and became Director of the Antwerp Academy of Art.
