FROM THE ARTIST
Since time immemorial man's behavior has been motivated by two major objectives. One is his desire to gather the fruits of his labor in peace, dignity, and freedom. The other has been to establish a bond of kinship between himself and his fellow man.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Born in New York City, July 11th, 1904. In 1920 began as an assistant in an Architectural Sculpture Studio. Devoted fifteen years to the design of architectural sculpture for federal, public, and private buildings throughout the country. In 1935 established my private studio.
In 1938 my entry sculpture was chosen winner in an international competition sponsored by the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company. I was awarded the commission to execute a heroic size Family Group for the Metropolitan Life Insurance company exhibit at the New York World's Fair (1939-40).
My entry model themed "Wings For Victory, The Spirit of Aviation" was awarded first prize in a National competition sponsored by the Artists for Victory. This model was eight feet high.
In 1946 in a competition sponsored by the National Sculpture Society, for its members only, to submit designs for a medal entitled "Herbert Adams Memorial Award," my design won first prize. This medal was reduced to 1 1/2” in diameter and is to be presented to persons who have contributed to the advancement of sculpture.

Goodyear" Memorial Gateway, Bogalusa, Louisiana; Lasker Award for the Albert & Mary Lasker Foundation; portraits of Mr. Jack Baar, Statistician, Metropolitan Life Insurance Company and Mr. Carlo Pitello, Cellist, Metropolitan Opera Company.
My work is exhibited at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Whitney Museum of American Art, The Pennsylvania Academy of Art, The National Academy of Art, etc.
