The dies were cut in 1869 and are currently unaccounted for. Bolen claims to have defaced them, to prevent their further use, and presented them to the Boston Numismatic Society.

An edge letter uncirculated example from Bolen's personal collection sold for $1410 in the Feb. 2014 Stacks sale, lot 140. A MS64RB piece sold for $2640 in the November 2017 Stacks sale, lot 245.
