SCH UNLISTED - NORTH AMERICAN EATING HOUSE
27mm - White Metal
Unlisted in Schenkman

This piece is similar in appearance to Schenkman B-48. One side is the A.A. Plastridge die with Plastridge's name planed off. Since PROV, R.I. was not planed off, that seemed like a good location for the business and I have confirmed that there was an establishment by this name in that City in the 1860's.. Asa Plastridge was listed as it's clerk in the 1865-1967 Providence Directories.

The number 100 is also interesting. I suspect the piece was intended as a trial strike for approval and the nice round 100 was chosen as a result.

Although undoubtedly a token or check of some type, I have included it in this site because of it's unique nature. I would appreciate receiving information on any other known examples.
