Jan Breughel, called the Velvet Breughel, was the son of Pieter Bruegel the Elder and the brother of Pieter the Younger called the "Hell" Breughel. He is the only one of the family members who developed as an artist without depending on the themes and on the style of his famous father. He deserves to step out of his father's shadow.
