JAB-29 DANIEL WEBSTER MEDAL Tin
25mm - 3 struck by Bolen

Both dies were cut in 1867 and sold to J.W. Kline in 1872. They are currently in the ANS collection.

According to the AJN list, Bolen struck 3 examples in tin. Kline also struck a few examples in this metal. It is fairly easy to tell the restrikes from the originals. The originals are 2.2 to 3.0 mm thick. The restrikes are only 1.5 to 2.0 mm in thickness. The example pictured is a Kline restrike, graded MS-61 by NGC.

Steve Hayden sold a MS-62 example for $450 in his 12/2010 sale, lot 408.
