JAB-24 1867 BOLEN CARD Tin
25mm - 26 struck
Obverse die cut in 1867. Reverse die cut in 1865. The obverse die was destroyed by Bolen. The reverse die was sold to Kline and is currently in the ANS collection.

The JAB-24 variety lacks Bolen's name beneath the bust. Bolen states that he only struck one example in tin. The 1966 American Journal of Numismatics list states that there were 26 struck. Since I own two examples, it is safe to conclude that Bolen's records were incorrect and the AJN estimate is probably closer to the truth. A toned AU went for $310 in Steve Hayden's July 2012 auction, lot 836.
