The dies were cut in 1869 and are currently unaccounted for. Bolen claims to have defaced them, to prevent their further use, and presented them to the Boston Numismatic Society.

An edge letter uncirculated example from Bolen's personal collection sold for $1410 in the Feb. 2014 Stacks sale, lot 140.  A MS64RB piece sold for $2640 in the November 2017 Stacks sale, lot 245.  A NGC-50 example was sold by Heritage in July 2018 for $613, lot 27001, while an MS-60 piece sold in the August 2018 Stacks sale for $900, lot 232
