JAB-14 WASHINGTON-FATHER OF OUR COUNTRY Copper
28mm - Between 3-7 struck in Copper
Dies cut in 1864 and sold to A. Ramsey of New York. They are currently unaccounted for.

Johnson states that two examples of JAB-14 were struck in Copper. It is estimated that Woodward may have struck five more. There are Copper examples in the collections of the ANS and the Pennsylvania Historical Society. Including this piece, I have only seen three auction records in the past 30 years. If you should have an opportunity to acquire an example, take advantage of it. It may be the only one you see in your lifetime.
