Mule JAB M/E-09 ARSENAL / LIBERTY CAP Copper

28mm - Unknown number struck by Edwards

This piece is a mule of the obverse of JAB-04 with the reverse of JAB-09. The JAB-04 die was cut in 1862 and sold to Mason, who later sold it to Edwards. The JAB-09 die was cut in 1864 and sold to Edwards. Both dies are currently in the ANS collection.

The piece pictured was offered for sale by S. Hayden during the Fall of 2010 for $500.
