JAB-30 BOLEN STORECARD / LIBERTAS AMERICA MEDAL BRASS #2
25mm - Reportedly only One Struck

Both dies were engraved in 1867. The obverse die was sold to Kline, to Chapman, and is currently in the ANS collection. The reverse die was destroyed by Bolen.

According to the Musante reference, there is a Brass example in the Massachusetts Historical Society collection. Another example was sold by Presidential Coin and Antique in 1990 and later resold in an August 2015 Hayden auction. It was a raw example listed as MS-62 and realized $3300, lot 619. I also have a record that Steve Tannenbaum had a NGC-64 graded example for sale in 2010. I own this piece and a second edge lettered example.

Potential buyers should be aware that the JAB-30 piece in Brass is not unique, with at least five different examples known.
