Mule JAB M/E-12 INIMICA TYRANNIS / BOLEN DIE SINKER Tin
Unknown number struck

This piece is a combination of the obverse of JAB-7 with the reverse of JAB-5. The obverse die was struck in 1863 abd Bolen claims to have destroyed it. The reverse die was cut in 1864 and passed to Masons, to Edwards, to Cogans, possibly to Bushnell, and then to the Chapmans. It is currently in the ANS collection.

This piece did not get any bids against a $600 reserve in a January 2015 Hayden auction. It was purchased post sale for the $600 figure in a fixed price listing of unsold lots. It has subsequently been offered on EBAY for a price more than double the amount it was acquired for in 2015.
