The medal was struck in the State Mint in  Warsaw  in 1964 in bronze and silvered bronze.

1964 - number of edited medals unknown
1974 - 500 copies in silvered bronze
1981 - 300  in silvered bronze, 200 in bronze 
1983 - 300 in silvered bronze,  200 in bronze

Jozef Jan Goslawski (1908-1963) was an outstanding Polish sculptor and medallist. He designed the medal probably in 1963. After Goslawski's death  his wife Wanda sculptured the medal according to his drawing. Wanda is also a sculptor but now inactive because of her age.
